About Me

A little bit about me.....I grew up in North Bellmore, LI, NY . In 1976 I moved in with Cookie, the love of my life. We moved together to Moncure, NC in 2004. That is when I retired from my profession as a Dental Hygienist. Cookie passed on in 2009 and I needed to go forth with my life. I decided to do some traveling. I went to India with my longtime BFAAF Susan, went to Africa with my awesome friends Judy and Mike and my drum group, went to Alaska, again with Judy. I have been to Aruba numerous times with my great friends Susan and Steven. During all this traveling I hated to leave my furry 4 legged children alone. So, I decided to buy a travel trailer. At this writing I am on my 3rd travel trailer and love it. It is a 33 foot Evergreen Everlite that I pull with my 2015 Ford 250 King Ranch Super Duty. I have been snowbirding for the last 4 years in Sarasota, FL at an RV resort there.

Longmont , Colorado continued.....

Gerry's birthday is today! Sue and I did a whole lot of errands which exhausted both of us. When we came back I helped Gerry make horderves for her little party tonight. Gerry's wonderful granddaughter, Deb, and her husband Jeb also came and were staying a few days. Bill and Claudia also came , Gerry's brother and sister-in-law. Was such a wonderful evening with wonderful people.

One of the things Sue and I did was go into one of the many pot stores.  What an experience. So many people and soooo much pot. There is the medicinal side and the recreational side. There are ointments, oils, regular weed, gummies bears, pipes, brownies, you name it and they have it. Everybody left with a bag of something or other. They have about 300 to 400 customers per day.

The next day Friday, Gerry took me over to her brothers ranch where he raises cattle and has 4 horses. One of the calves, 3 months old and 200 hundred lbs. had to be bottle fed. They let me feed her....Gracie. Another phenomenal experience. We then fed the rest f the cows and gave treats to the horses.

It is now time to say goodbye to my great friend Sue and her mom. It was a great and very special visit. Hope not to let another 7 years go by before I see them again! Tomorrow I leave for Ellen's house in Lakewood, only about 75 miles.

  1. Sounds like you've had a wonderful visit with your friends--I'm sure they have enjoyed having you there, as you are such a wonderful friend to everyone you meet! Hope you haven't tired yourself out too much, but maybe the funny little gummy bears can help take the edge off, huh?? Colorado is such a beautiful place, and we're happy you've been able to enjoy it. One of the nicest things about having such a huge windshield on a motorhome is being able to see all those magnificent mountain vistas while you're driving! Safe travels to your next destination!
