About Me

A little bit about me.....I grew up in North Bellmore, LI, NY . In 1976 I moved in with Cookie, the love of my life. We moved together to Moncure, NC in 2004. That is when I retired from my profession as a Dental Hygienist. Cookie passed on in 2009 and I needed to go forth with my life. I decided to do some traveling. I went to India with my longtime BFAAF Susan, went to Africa with my awesome friends Judy and Mike and my drum group, went to Alaska, again with Judy. I have been to Aruba numerous times with my great friends Susan and Steven. During all this traveling I hated to leave my furry 4 legged children alone. So, I decided to buy a travel trailer. At this writing I am on my 3rd travel trailer and love it. It is a 33 foot Evergreen Everlite that I pull with my 2015 Ford 250 King Ranch Super Duty. I have been snowbirding for the last 4 years in Sarasota, FL at an RV resort there.

Another amazing day!

Got to Moab, Utah in the afternoon so I went into town and walked around the shops and had some dinner. I am at the OK RV Campground which is pretty nice! Large sites with some trees which does help with some shading. The next day, Sunday, I had a day of rest. Wasn't feeling great, it was 102 degrees, so I did laundry and la-di-dad around. Got up early today, Monday and went to Arches Natl. Park. Figured I would be gone a few hours and then I would stop back into town for a bit. Well, I left at 9AM and was gone for 7 hours....just at the park. As the title says, another amazing day. On my way there I was thinking, how many mountains can one look at. They are going to start looking all the same. Let me tell you, they don't! The rock formations and the arches are just too unreal to explain. Again I did some hiking much to my surprise. I wish I had my Fitbit with me! I did buy a pair of waterproof hiking sneakers. They are soooo comfy! I also purchased an app called Just Ahead. If you buy a year subscription for $30.00 you get audio for all the parks in the U.S. It is amazing how it knows exactly where you are and gives you details of the area. Where to turn to get good views, all about vegetation, and a lot of history! What a great purchase! Enough of all my gibberish, here are some great shots!

As you can see it was quite hot out, but its dry! As my friend Judy said it's dry so it must feel like 65 degrees.......NOT!!!!!!!!
Stopped at supermarket for some necessities and went back to play with Asher. We went for a walk, like that is just what I needed, lol! For some reason I had a bunch of energy so I washed the motor home and the car. It is now 10:05 and I think I am gonna hit the sack so I can do another park with boring, haha, mountains tomorrow!  See ya...................
