About Me

A little bit about me.....I grew up in North Bellmore, LI, NY . In 1976 I moved in with Cookie, the love of my life. We moved together to Moncure, NC in 2004. That is when I retired from my profession as a Dental Hygienist. Cookie passed on in 2009 and I needed to go forth with my life. I decided to do some traveling. I went to India with my longtime BFAAF Susan, went to Africa with my awesome friends Judy and Mike and my drum group, went to Alaska, again with Judy. I have been to Aruba numerous times with my great friends Susan and Steven. During all this traveling I hated to leave my furry 4 legged children alone. So, I decided to buy a travel trailer. At this writing I am on my 3rd travel trailer and love it. It is a 33 foot Evergreen Everlite that I pull with my 2015 Ford 250 King Ranch Super Duty. I have been snowbirding for the last 4 years in Sarasota, FL at an RV resort there.

Finally!!!

So my last post was July of 2016. Since Charlie was so sick and not going to make the trip I finally cancelled the whole trip. Charlie died in August quite quickly and peacefully. Cancelling the trip was one of the best decisions I ever made. I got to spend quality time with him until the end. This picture was taken the morning he died! I was leaving mid December for my snowbird trip to FL.

I was lost without my Charlie and finally decided to get another dog.  I met with a breeder here in Pittsboro, NC. I reserved a male Schnoodle but he wouldn't be born until December and I would have to wait 8 weeks to get him.   In the meantime I traded in my 2016 TT and beautiful truck and purchased a 2017 36 foot Forest River class A and a Honda CRV as a toad. This class A has made my life so much easier. It was a very good move for me. So I left for FL mid December and arrived in Sun & Fun 12/27/16. Celebrated New Years with my friends Deb and Di and Di and Carlo. On 12/12 my new puppy, Asher, was born. I flew back to NC to pick him up on 2/12/17 and returned to FL the same day.  A puppy is certainly a challenge at this point in my life, but an absolute pleasure. He brings me smiles, happiness and companionship. It is now 5/29/17 and Asher is recuperating from his neutering and hernia removal. I plan to leave on my original cross country trip on 6/7/17.   Stay tuned for more to come.....
